Changes in US Delegation Hint at Expanded Role for Board of Peace, Vietnamese Journalist Says

The presence of Josh Gruenbaum, Commissioner of the Federal Acquisition Service at the US General Services Administration, at Friday's US-Russia talks is “one very noticeable change,” international journalist Tran Hoang told Sputnik.

He noted that Gruenbaum was recently appointed by President Trump as a senior advisor to the newly established Board of Peace, where he is tasked with handling “diplomatic priorities.”

This suggests that the Kremlin talks may have addressed Russia’s possible involvement in the board, according to Tran Hoang.

“In other words, the role of this Board of Peace in the negotiations between Putin and Witkoff, as well as in Russian-American talks on Ukraine, may be far greater.”
