'Hospitality, Humanism, Security': Guinean Academic Urges Students to Study in Russia

Education is “a weapon that can be used to transform the continent,” Mori Dioubaté, Rector of the Nelson Mandela University of Guinea-Conakry, told Sputnik Africa.

African youth must avoid navel-gazing and can discover other experiences abroad, particularly in Russia, he said.

“I have been to Russia, and I was deeply impressed by the hospitality and humanism I encountered. People should not think that the conflictual situation is something to fear. No, in Russia, you don’t even feel it. It is a very secure country.”

While seeking fruitful partnerships, Africa “truly believes in Russia,” he concluded.
