This turbine is capable of generating enough electricity to power approximately 44,000 households.
Located in the waters off the southeastern coast of China’s Fujian Province, this massive structure also represents a significant advancement in offshore engineering.
However, implementing a project of this scale proved far from straightforward. The installation site is more than 30 kilometers from shore, where the team had to work in conditions of great water depth, unpredictable monsoon seasons, and enormous risks associated with operations at extreme heights.
Using advanced positioning systems, three giant blades—each nearly 150 meters long—were lifted to a height of 174 meters and then perfectly connected to the turbine’s central hub.
