Vysotsk Port in Northwestern Russia Ships 44,000 Tonnes of Wheat to Kenya for the First Time
"Kenya became the 18th country for grain product exports from our branch in 2025, including 9 African countries, which underscores African states' interest in Russian grain and the development of export logistics routes via Baltic Sea ports," Anita Milekhina, Director of the St. Petersburg branch of the Russian Federal Center for the Assessment of Safety and Quality of Agricultural Products noted.
Lab tests confirmed that the wheat fully meets Kenya’s requirements, the center reported.
Following the inspections, testing protocols, a phytosanitary certificate, and a quarantine disinsection report for the cargo were issued.
In 2025, over 1.8 million tonnes of grain products were exported from Russia, with wheat accounting for 78% (more than 1.3 million tonnes).
