Cabinet Reshuffle in Burkina Faso: Several Ministries Change Their Names
According to a decree published on Monday, Burkina Faso's new cabinet comprises 22 members
Key changes include:
🟠The Ministry of Defense is now the Ministry of War and Patriotic Defense, continuing under Major General Célestin Simporé;
🟠The Ministry of Public Service and Labor has been renamed the Ministry of Servants of the People, headed by Mathias Traoré;
🟠Housing and Urban Planning are combined into the Ministry of Homeland Construction, led by Mikaïlou Sidibé.
▪Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo retains his position at the head of the government;
▪Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré is also reappointed as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
▪Edasso Rodrigue Bayala remains Minister of Justice.
Among recorded departures, Roland Somda left the Ministry of Sports, which is now led by Annick Lydie Djouma Pikbougoum Zingue Ouattara.
