Israel Plans to Forcibly Displace Palestinians to Somaliland: Somali Defense Minister
Israel plans not only to establish a military base in Somaliland but also to “occupy this area similar to the occupation of Palestinian lands” as an important strategic point near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, Ahmed Moalim Fiqi told media.
According to the minister, this will subsequently allow “the destabilization of the entire Middle East region.”
He described this potential action as a serious violation of international law and an infringement on Somali sovereignty.
Fiqi urged the Israeli government to retract any recognition of what he called the “separatist region,” stressing that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has no legal or legitimate authority to recognize entities within sovereign states.
⭕Israel is exploiting separatist leaders, despite the fact that roughly half of the areas formerly known as Somaliland have reaffirmed their affiliation with the Federal Republic of Somalia over the past two years, the minister stated.
