"Currently, the majority of Nigerian students in Russia are studying in oil and gas programs," Halilou-Sani Maman-Kabirou, head of the Association of Nigerian Students and Interns in Russia, told Sputnik.
Nigerian students, he added, also focus on:

🟠administration
🟠medicine
🟠geology
🟠informatics
🟠energy
"The most in-demand specialty among Malian students in Russia is medicine," Daouda Diabatè, president of the Association of Malian Students and Interns in Russia, stressed.
Students from Chad also prefer medicine, Majihingam Jimbay Charité, former president of the Association of Students and Interns from Chad in Russia, noted.
Other popular specialties, he added, include:
🟠engineering in all its forms (informatics, urban planning, electricity, mechanics);
🟠international relations;
🟠economics-management;
🟠architecture;
🟠technological specialties related to AI and digital systems.
Over 32,000 Africans study in Russia, with scholarships up nearly threefold since 2020 to over 5,300 spots, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated.
