China-Africa Exchanges Strengthen Friendship, Youth Engagement & Global Peace, FM Says
Celebrating the 70th anniversary of its diplomatic relations with African nations, China has reached agreements with African leaders to elevate bilateral ties to a higher level, Wang Yi stated at the launch of the China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges at the AU headquarters.
"China-Africa friendship needs to take deeper root among our peoples at this new historical starting point. Exchanges and mutual learning between civilizations provide continuous impetus for human civilization as well as for world peace and development," he said, as reported by a Sputnik Africa correspondent.
Experience exchanges and mutual educational cooperation between China and Africa provide continuous support for world peace and development, Wang Yi noted.
The strong bond formed between the more than 2.8 billion people of China and Africa will make new contributions to joint efforts to strengthen global-level cooperation, particularly South-South cooperation, he added.
