Russia to Maintain Its Position as World’s Leading Wheat Exporter
This is according to forecasts for the 2025/2026 agricultural season by the Russian Academy of Sciences, as reviewed by Sputnik.
In terms of export volumes, Russia is projected to rank:
▪ 2nd for sunflower and sunflower oil,
▪ 3rd for rye,
▪ 4th for barley,
▪ 6th for corn,
▪ 7th for pork,
▪ 8th for cheese,
▪ 9th for poultry,
▪ 11th for butter.
Global agricultural trade is expected to exceed $2 trillion. The main markets for Russian agricultural products will continue to be friendly countries, including CIS member states, African nations, and countries in Asia.
