Namibian Military Commander Visits Russian Corvette During Port Call in Walvis Bay: Russian Embassy A Russian Baltic Fleet task force, consisting of the corvette Stoiky and the medium sea tanker Yelnya, made a working visit to the Namibian port from December 28 to 31, 2025, the embassy announced.The visit culminated in a reception onboard the Stoiky, hosted in the name of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, the Russian diplomatic mission said in a statement. Namibia's chief of the defense force, along with other senior Namibian Navy officers and representatives from security agencies, attended the event.
