Ghanaian 'Doomsday Prophet' Arrested for Fear-Making Cyber Activities: Authorities
Self-proclaimed prophet Evans Eshun, widely known as Ebo Noah, has been detained in a cybercrime operation targeting online content that risks causing public fear and disorder, according to a police statement.
The arrest follows recent official warnings against individuals making apocalyptic prophecies around New Year's Eve.
Ebo Noah gained notoriety in 2025 after "predicting" a catastrophic global flood for December 25 and constructing a large wooden ark, claiming divine instruction. He recently stated the disaster was postponed due to "new revelations" after prayers.
While specific charges have not been disclosed, the suspect remains in custody assisting with investigations, according to the police. No further individuals are currently sought in the case.
