Burkina Faso's Ibrahim Traore Applauds Efforts to Combat Imperialist Disinformation
The president paid tribute to those working in public and private communications and on social media, considering them essential allies in the fight against "imperialist propaganda and disinformation."
Their efforts, according to Traore, help present an accurate and positive image of the country.
Other key points from his New Year's address include:
🟠Burkina Faso's diplomacy will align with current geopolitical issues, and the country will remain open to partners who respect its sovereignty, freedom, and dignity.
🟠The head of state called on the Burkinabé people to support his mission as president of the AES Confederation.
🟠Four regions already have road construction brigades, and four more will be equipped in 2026 to begin constructing national, departmental, and highway roads.
🟠Modern urban planning will focus on high-rise buildings, sanitation, and clean cities.
🟠Progress was made in agriculture, livestock farming, and fish farming in 2025, and food self-sufficiency was achieved thanks to good rainfall and the mobilization of the rural population.
🟠In 2026, these efforts will continue with the acquisition of new agricultural machinery, free or heavily subsidized plowing, and high-quality inputs and seeds.
🟠Progress has been made in security, health, education, energy, and mineral resources, and these efforts must continue.
