Mali Tightens Entry Restrictions for Americans in Response to Ad Hoc Decision by US: Foreign Ministry"In accordance with the principle of reciprocity, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs the national and international community that the Government of Mali will, with immediate effect, apply the same conditions and requirements to American nationals as those imposed on Malian citizens," the ministry announced. On December 16, Washington expanded the list of countries whose nationals are banned from entering the United States, adding Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, South Sudan, Syria, Laos, and Sierra Leone.
