East African Leaders Reaffirm Support for Somalia's Territorial Integrity
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud held telephone talks with the leaders of Djibouti, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, during which they reaffirmed their support for Somalia’s independence, media reported.
According to the leaders, Israel’s actions constitute a clear violation of the UN Charter, the African Union’s principle of territorial integrity, and international law.
The Somali government previously stated that recognition of Somaliland undermines the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity and poses a threat to regional stability.
