Uganda Forms New Landing Site Committees, Restructures Fisheries Protection UnitPresident Museveni has ordered the creation of new landing site committees in Uganda, composed of local fishermen and investors, replacing the previous Fisheries Protection Unit and all existing committees.The move, implemented through the Chief of Defence Forces, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, responds to ongoing controversies and complaints from fishing communities.
