Voting in Ivorian Parliamentary Elections Begins: ReportsA total of 1,143 candidates are running for 255 seats in the National Assembly (the lower house of parliament). Voting is taking place at 11,835 polling stations.To ensure the safe conduct of the elections, the Ministry of the Interior and the General Staff launched Operation Civil Dome, involving 44,000 military and police personnel.
