Ibrahim Traoré Takes Over Presidency of AES Confederation
The president of Burkina Faso has thus succeeded Malian leader General Assimi Goïta. His term will last one year, in accordance with the rotation principle established among member countries.
The decision was announced at the closing of the second summit of heads of state of the AES Confederation.
In his acceptance speech, Captain Traoré praised his predecessor’s leadership and pledged to ensure continuity in his work.
