Ethiopian Delegation Visits Berbera Port to Strengthen Trade Ties With Somaliland
The delegation, comprising representatives from both regional and federal governments, toured port facilities in the Berbera Free Economic Zone and customs operations, as well as key transport and logistics infrastructure.
The visit is said to reflect the growing economic relationship between Ethiopia and Somaliland, a self-governing entity within the territory of Somalia that lacks international recognition.
Furthermore, authorities stated that the visit underscores Berbera’s role as a vital trade gateway for landlocked Ethiopia by providing an alternative corridor for export and import trade and supporting broader regional economic integration.
