Somali Army Eliminates 15 Al-Shabaab* Terrorists, Including Three Leaders
They were neutralized during a military operation in the town of Xawaadley, about 50 kilometers from Mogadishu, the Somali Ministry of Defense announced in a statement.
Among the targets eliminated: Jaafar Aden, the leader of the terrorist group for the Jabad Godane region.
"This operation has significantly degraded the group's operational capacity in the area [...]. It forms part of the ongoing and sustained efforts of the Somali National Army to dismantle terrorist networks and ensure lasting peace, stability, and security [...]."
