Burundi Aims for Energy Self-Sufficiency With Russia's Support: FM
"Without energy, there can be no enterprise," Édouard Bizimana emphasized to Sputnik Africa on the sidelines of the Russia-Africa Ministerial Conference in Cairo.
According to the minister, his country is particularly pursuing:
The construction of dams, thermal power plants, or nuclear facilities;
The transfer of expertise and logistical support;
The development of the large nickel deposit, currently hindered by the lack of energy.
