Russia–Africa Partnership Forum Casts Africa as Active Partner, Not Just Resource Supplier: Namibian FM

The strong presence of African ministers on the sidelines of the second ministerial conference of the Russia–Africa Partnership Forum reflects appreciation for relations with Russia and confidence in future cooperation, Selma Ashipala-Musavyi told Sputnik Africa, expressing optimism about prospects in an evolving global order.

Recalling Namibia’s partnership with Russia since the Soviet era, Ashipala-Musavyi noted that the country received broad support during colonial times, including educational opportunities for young Namibians in Moscow and across the USSR.

Celebrating 35 years of independence and diplomatic relations, she highlighted key areas of collaboration:

🟠security,

🟠defense,

🟠agriculture,

🟠mining,

🟠agriculture,

🟠education,

🟠health.

Namibia is also focusing on trade and skills transfer, with young Namibians gaining experience at Russian companies, the minister added.
