Russia Provides Significant Aid to Africa & Seeks Energy Cooperation That Ensures African Countries’ Independence: Mali's Minister
Mali has prepared many projects due to Russian support, Bouréma Kansaye, Mali's Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, said this at the session Unlocking the Potential of Trilateral Cooperation: Russia–Egypt–Africa as part of the second ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum.
Russia engages with African countries based on the principle of equality and provides substantial assistance to develop cooperation in agriculture, trade, and industry, he added.
He affirmed that Mali considers Russia a strategic partner and cooperates with it in the fields of:
🟠energy,
🟠clean energy,
🟠workforce development.
He emphasized that cooperation with Russia is not merely short-term. Solar power stations are being built, and Mali also aims to develop nuclear power plants. Additionally, the country is expanding its partnership with Russia in the space sector.
