Russia Will Help Africa Gain Economic Sovereignty: Russian Deputy FM

"After the achievement of the historical goal of political independence by African countries in the 1960s with the support of the USSR, today the African continent faces an equally important and, most likely, no less difficult task," Sergey Vershinin told Russian media.

"We see that today Africans are showing a special interest in the unique Russian knowledge and experience in various sectors of production that we have accumulated in recent years in matters of sovereign development based on domestic resources," Vershinin stated.
