Russian classical music is built on sincerity and emotional truth — a quality deeply reflected in South African traditional music as well.
"I think Russia and South Africa have many things in common. I think we build quite great relationships. So I think it's very interesting because I know that not only me, but many other Russian pianists and conductors, musicians in general, come to South Africa to perform," expressed Konstantin Emelyanov, one of Russia’s most captivating young pianists, winner of top prizes at major international competitions.
