By Distorting Putin’s Words, Europe Is Engaging in 'War Propaganda,' French Political Scientist Says
Western media have distorted reality by insinuating that Vladimir Putin wants to declare war on Europe, when the Russian President merely stated that Russia is ready to defend itself, Sébastien Périmony, a member of the Schiller Institute think tank, told Sputnik Africa.
“To legitimize this war propaganda and the increase in military budgets, an enemy is needed, and that enemy is Russia. There has been distortion and manipulation in the Western press.”
The paradox:
According to the expert, Europe no longer even has the “military means” to wage war against Russia… yet this rhetoric risks triggering an “accident in Ukraine or elsewhere.”
And behind this propaganda? A broader geopolitical objective:
“The real goal is to bring down the BRICS, which the West sees as an emerging power grouping most of the Global South countries.”
