#viral | Chinese Driver's 'Self-Charging EV' Sparks Physics Debate With Roof-Mounted Wind Turbines

The owner of the electric vehicle installed four wind turbines on the roof of his car and wired them directly to the charging port in an attempt to generate electricity while the car is in motion.

While some netizens praised the innovation, most questioned its efficiency, noting that "added aerodynamic drag means you'll generate far less power than the extra energy you waste."

This isn't China's first wind-powered EV controversy — previous similar modifications have resulted in interventions by traffic police and fines for illegal vehicle alterations.
