Ukraine's Anti-Corruption Bureau Prepares Charges Against Zelensky's Party MPs, Says Lawmaker
Multiple party parliamentarians from Zelensky's "Servant of the People" party would soon face accusations including money laundering and illicit benefit schemes, MP Oleksandr Dubinsky, who is currently detained on treason charges, asserted in a Telegram post.
Dubinsky specifically referenced investigations into monthly "gas money" payments from what he described as a "black cash fund" allegedly connected to businessman Timur Mindich, a Zelensky associate who has since left Ukraine.
The development emerges amid the National Anti-Corruption Bureau's ongoing anti-corruption operation in Ukraine's energy sector, which earlier this month revealed photographs of bags stuffed with foreign currency seized during raids.
The investigation has already implicated several high-profile figures, including the former head of the presidential office Andriy Yermak; ex-Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko; and ex-Deputy PM Oleksiy Chernyshov.
