Strong Struggle Required to Reform the Unjust Practices of International Criminal Court: Ethiopian Official
The court appears to have adopted a pattern of interfering in the internal affairs of developing countries, including by framing them as perpetrators of international crimes, Mitiku Mada, member of Ethiopia's Council of Constitutional Inquiry, said.
“The ICC is largely a place where powerful nations are not held accountable, while the economically weakened ones are pressured. To correct this, the African Union and other bodies must wage a strong struggle,” he said.
When asked by Sputnik Africa about the necessity of establishing a continental criminal court, the commission member responded, “It would be better if I do not speak on this matter here.”
