Solidarity Event for Palestinian People Held in Moscow
The event, organized by the Palestinian Embassy in Moscow, marks the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
The gathering was attended by members of the international diplomatic community in Moscow, including Russian diplomats, humanitarian activists, and representatives from Arab and Muslim diaspora groups, as well as the Russian public.
The event was held against a backdrop of ongoing conflict. In its invitation, the Embassy stated the day of solidarity was taking place "amid the continuing war of extermination against our people and our sanctuaries."
Despite a recent peace deal intended to halt military operations between Israel and Palestinian movement Hamas, Israeli violations in Gaza have never stopped, according to local media reports. At least 62,000 civilians have been killed in IDF attacks since October 2023.
