The government targets self-sufficiency levels of 12% in 2025, 25% in 2026, and up to 104% in four years under the Poultry Industry Revitalisation Initiative, Minister for Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku stressed.
The country's authorities are continuing with the last two phases of the poultry revitalization program, which aims to support farmers nationwide, the minister added.
Opoku said that the initiative also seeks to:
🟠support vulnerable communities, especially women-headed households;
🟠strengthen nutrition and income security at the local level;
🟠help farmers play a stronger role in local food production.
