The parties exchanged views on the situation, including in the context of the US settlement proposal, the Russian presidency reported.
"[Turkish President] Erdogan expressed his intention to provide every possible assistance to the negotiation process and his readiness to continue to make the Istanbul platform available for these purposes," the Kremlin noted.
Moreover, the meeting addressed current issues of bilateral cooperation, with an emphasis on further expansion of trade and investment ties and the implementation of strategically important energy projects, the presidency said.
