Nigeria Reassigns Police Protecting Officials Amid Security Crisis
President Tinubu has ordered the withdrawal of police officers assigned to protect Very Important Persons in the country, his office said in a statement.
“In view of the current security challenges facing the country, President Tinubu is desirous of boosting police presence in all communities,” the statement noted.
Tinubu had also approved the recruitment of 30,000 police officers.
