Senegal Launches Startup Ecosystem Program

Senegal Launches Startup Ecosystem Program
The government is activating this operational framework to accelerate the development of local startups.
Key measures include:
🟠a national Startup Ecosystem label and a one-stop online portal for labeling and accessing services;
🟠tax incentives and preferential customs regimes;
🟠priority access to public procurement;
🟠the creation of direct links between startups, investors, incubators, and technical partners;
🟠a monitoring and evaluation system to measure the real impact.
The objective is to label more than 500 startups and create 150,000 direct jobs by 2034.
The program is part of the New Deal for Technology and the Senegal 2050 Vision, which places digital innovation at the heart of the country's economic transformation.
It aims to strengthen Senegal’s competitiveness in West Africa, attract more foreign talent and capital and foster the emergence of national champions in strategic sectors.
