‘Boycott Doesn’t Produce Any Good Results': SA Urges Unity and Investment at G20
South Africa’s Deputy Finance Minister David Masondo underscored the importance of multilateral cooperation amid global tensions.
Speaking with Sputnik, Masondo emphasized that South Africa’s G20 presidency is a pivotal moment for the Global South—particularly Africa—to reshape the global economic order.
With a young population and “critical minerals for decarbonization,” he argued that Africa must move beyond exporting raw materials and instead “add value… so that we industrialize Africa.”
