Miss Universe 2025: Ivorian Olivia Yacé Illuminates Global Stage & Secures Fifth Place
“Assume your identity” — this is the empowering message Olivia Yacé champions, inspiring young people worldwide to embrace self-love and confidence. She is also reportedly a vocal advocate for women’s empowerment across Africa.
The 74th Miss Universe pageant unfolded in Thailand, uniting 127 contestants from around the globe.
Joining Yacé in the Top 30 were two other African representatives: Rwanda’s Solange Keita and Zimbabwe’s Lyshanda Moyas.
The crown of Miss Universe 2025 was awarded to Mexico’s Fátima Bosch.
To date, only six women from African nations have won the Miss Universe title:
🟠South Africa: Margaret Gardiner (1978), Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters (2017), Zozibini Tunzi (2019);
🟠Botswana: Mpule Kwelagobe (1999);
🟠Angola: Leila Lopes (2011).
