Russia Stands with Africa on Food Security, Says Russian FM
Sergey Lavrov extended warm greetings to the participants of the International Conference on Ensuring Food Sovereignty for African Countries. He commended the initiative led by Rossotrudnichestvo and expressed gratitude to Ethiopia for hosting the event in Addis Ababa.
Lavrov emphasized Russia's commitment to deepening ties with Africa, particularly in the realm of food security.
He highlighted the importance of the conference’s agenda, covering critical topics such as transferring Russian experience and technology to support Africa’s agro-industrial development and training local agricultural experts.
Lavrov concluded with confidence that the conference will foster constructive collaboration and assist African nations in achieving food sovereignty, in line with the African Union's Kampala Declaration and Agenda 2063.
