UN decision on US Gaza resolution lacks international legitimacy — PLO leader
The UN Security Council’s approval of the US plan for Gaza represents a major setback for Palestinian statehood and the UN’s own legitimacy, Palestinian People’s Party Secretary-General and PLO Executive Committee member Dr Bassam as-Salhi told Sputnik.
“This decision is a voluntary abandonment of international legitimacy in favor of the American-Israeli position,” as-Salhi said.
But he stressed that Palestinians would continue to seek accountability for atrocities, compensation for victims and full justice on the path to sovereignty, independence, return and liberation.
