South Africa Signals Economic Recovery With Declining Unemployment in 2025: President
The official unemployment rate dropped to 31.9% in July-September from 33.2% the previous quarter, with nearly 250,000 more employed in Q3, President Ramaphosa stated in his letter to the nation.
The president also highlighted the country's recent credit rating upgrade, and "prudent financial management."
Operation Vulindlela launched in 2020 has helped improve logistics, ports and private freight rail access, he added.
The president stressed the commitment to maintaining the economic recovery to promote:

🟠enhance the well-being of people.
