Togo Projects 14.4% Increase in 2026 State Budget
The Council of Ministers adopted the draft finance bill on November 14.
The priorities for the allocated amount of 2,740.5 billion CFA francs (about $4.86 bln) are:
🟠granting 48% for social sectors: health, education, social protection;
🟠driving economic transformation in: agriculture, industry, digital sectors;
🟠boosting private investment and providing sustainable jobs for youth and women;
🟠strengthening security and defense for stability.
The budget is primarily financed by the state’s own resources, with projected growth of 6.5% in 2026, compared to 6.2% in 2025.
Next steps encompass the review by the National Assembly, followed by the Senate.
