AES: Russia Denounces Vast, Coordinated Destabilization Campaign From Abroad
"This subversive activity, with purely opportunistic geopolitical and economic objectives, primarily targets the civilian population," Maria Zakharova, the Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman, said.
For Moscow, the attempts by JNIM, an Al-Qaeda-affiliated* group, to impose a fuel blockade on Malian localities "are particularly worrying."
Russia reaffirms its commitment to the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the AES member states, Zakharova said. Russia calls on the international community to support the efforts of the three countries in the fight against terrorism and in socio-economic development.
