Analysis of Need for Nuclear Tests in Russia Has Begun, Says Russian Security Council Secretary

"The work began immediately," Sergey Shoigu said in an interview with Sputnik.

Other key statements by Shoigu:

🟠The White House has not yet officially provided comprehensive explanations about the statements about nuclear tests made by the American leadership;

🟠Moscow and Washington, as the two largest nuclear powers, bear a special responsibility for maintaining global peace and security;

🟠Moscow expect that Washington will continue to adhere to its commitments regarding the ban on nuclear tests.

Earlier, Putin ordered the Russian Security Council to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the feasibility of preparing for nuclear weapons testing.

This directive was issued in response to Trump's order for nuclear weapons tests to be conducted "on an equal basis" with other countries that allegedly have nuclear testing programs.
