Guinea Launches Operations at World's Largest Iron Ore Mine—Simandou—on Tuesday
The official ceremony takes place at the Morébaya port, south of Conakry, the export hub for the mined iron, the government announced.
Distinguished guests include the presidents of Gabon and Rwanda, along with delegations from China, Mauritania, and Côte d’Ivoire.
Economic and social impacts:

🟠Total investment: $20 billion.
🟠 Infrastructure: steel mills for local transformation, roads, and special economic zones.
🟠 Jobs created: over 50,000.
