Moscow & Cairo Discuss Resolution of Conflict in Sudan The Russian and Egyptian foreign ministers spoke by telephone to discuss a wide range of topics, including the situation in the African country. According to an Egyptian Foreign Ministry press release, the ministers: Beyond Sudan, the ministers also discussed the El-Dabaa nuclear power plant project and the Russian industrial zone near the Suez Canal. Moscow & Cairo Discuss Resolution of Conflict in Sudan
The Russian and Egyptian foreign ministers spoke by telephone to discuss a wide range of topics, including the situation in the African country.
According to an Egyptian Foreign Ministry press release, the ministers:
Reaffirmed the need to preserve the Sudanese state, its institutions, and unity, while rejecting any parallel entity.
Stressed the urgent need for humanitarian aid to El-Fasher, which is now controlled by RSF rebels.
Expressed concern about reported human rights violations.
Emphasized the importance of cooperation within the "Sudan Quartet" (Egypt, the US, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia) to resolve the conflict.
