African identity is a way of life that honors culture and values, not a clash with science and technology, Chief Mwanta Ishima Sanken'i VI, Secretary General of the Forum of African Traditional Authorities, told Sputnik Africa.

Prevalent Eurocentric history books neglect African interests, the chief said, stressing that traditional leaders must document accurate African history. He cited Russia's meticulous historical preservation as an impressive example.
