South Africa's Cape Winelands Fire Rages On, Crews on StandbyFire crews are battling a blaze in the Kogmanskloof area, which began before the weekend in the mountainous region above Ashton and Montagu. The fire is burning along mountain tops and occasionally spreading to accessible areas, the Cape Winelands District Municipality reported.Despite currently cool mountain temperatures, a forecast for a warm day with light winds can lead to uncomfortable firefighting conditions, district official Jo-Anne Otto noted.
