Russian & South African Health Ministers Visit Nuclear Medicine Center in Pretoria
Mikhail Murashko and Aaron Motsoaledi visited the NuMeRI center at Steve Biko Academic Hospital, identifying nuclear medicine as a key area of mutual interest, according to a representative of the South African Health Ministry.
The ministers emphasized its potential to strengthen diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities in health systems, the representative noted.
According to him, the ministers:
🟠stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two countries, including in the field of the most advanced medical technologies;
🟠discussed the main areas of cooperation, paying special attention to nuclear medicine and building the capacity of links for joint research.
According to the representative, South Africa viewed the nuclear medicine conference its delegation attended in Russia in September as an important platform for future cooperation.
NuMeRI is a research center where work is underway in the field of nuclear medicine and the treatment of diseases such as cancer.
