Ukraine & West Supplying Weapons to Rebels in Sudan, Says Sudanese Politician
Intermediaries are delivering these weapons to the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Idriss Lukma of the Sudanese Justice and Equality Movement told Sputnik.
"The weapons used in combat—vehicles, equipment, ammunition—are Western. There are supply chains. Middlemen buy these weapons from Ukrainian, British, French, and other companies, which then transport them via third countries to the final recipients," he explained.
Lukma called for an international investigation into these supply chains.
The RSF uses weapons produced in the UK, received via the United Arab Emirates, a British newspaper reported earlier, citing documents submitted by Sudan to the UN Security Council.
