Alassane Ouattara Officially Re-Elected President of Côte d’Ivoire
The verdict is in: the Constitutional Council has officially confirmed Alassane Ouattara’s first-round victory in the October 25, 2025 election, a Sputnik Africa correspondent reported.
The incumbent head of state received 3,759,030 votes, or 89.77% of valid ballots.
“Ouattara won the first round of the election and has been re-elected for a fourth term. Review of the official reports revealed no irregularities capable of compromising the integrity of the vote or affecting the outcome,” said Chantal Camara, President of the Constitutional Council, while announcing the results.
Voter turnout stood at 50.10%, according to the Independent Electoral Commission.
In brief:
▪ At 83 years old, Ouattara has led the country for over 14 years.
▪ The 2016 Constitution allowed him to run again.

Simone Ehivet Gbagbo: 2.42%
