New Well in Libya's Ghadames Basin Yields Significant Oil & Gas Discovery, Says Company
The new well has an estimated daily production capacity of approximately 4,675 barrels of crude oil and 2 million cubic feet of gas, according to the Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO), a subsidiary of the state-owned National Oil Corporation (NOC).
The Ghadames basin is located in northwestern Libya, near the border with Algeria. The NOC confirmed that it holds complete ownership of the project.
This discovery follows a recent find in the Sirte Basin announced last week.
Notably, AGOCO's overall production reportedly reached 310,000 barrels per day by the end of October.
