Putin Extends Greetings to Algerian President on 71st Revolution Day
In a congratulatory letter to Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Russian president highlighted the "dynamically developing" Russian-Algerian relations within a deep strategic partnership, the Algerian presidency said in a statement.
Putin expressed his commitment to strengthening constructive work on bilateral and international issues for the benefit of both nations, as well as to enhancing security in Africa and the Middle East, according to the statement.
The Russian leader wished Tebboune health and success, and the Algerian people happiness and prosperity, it added.
The revolution, which began on November 1, 1954, marked the start of Algeria's war for independence from France, ultimately leading to sovereignty in 1962.
